Camp Shawnee’s girl camp in Liberty, Utah, asked the McNeil Engineering team to take a look at their roofs. Their roofs were all a wood shingle system that had been in place for as long as anyone at the camp could remember! The condition of the wood shingles was not great — some were dry-rotted, some had holes and moss growing through them, and others were missing fascia boards.

To maintain the natural look of the wood shingle but ensure a sturdier roof, we installed a stone-coated metal shingle with a shake shingle on the main building and simple standing seam metal roofing on the remaining outbuildings. It was a fun project, and we were glad we could help!
