The new Cottonwood area sounds like it’s going to be a great place! The plans are in place for a walkable neighborhood (a five-minute walk from the town center to the edge of town) that is very pedestrian-friendly, with streets and sidewalks replacing the mall and parking lots.
McNeil Engineering provided civil engineering and surveying services for the project, which included plans for demolition and relocation of the creek. There were bridges over the creek that needed replacing as well as a section of the creek itself that needed to be relocated and restored. To accomplish this task, we worked with FEMA, the State Division of Water Resources, and the US Army Corp of Engineers. It was a great project!
